Nokia 9 PureView goes official with 5 rear cameras, a 5.99" pOLED QHD displayNokia 9 PureView is finally official and indeed, it arrives with 5 rear cameras, each equipped with a Zeiss lens and a 12MP sensor. The five shooters work together to capture 10 times more light than a single smartphone camera colour sensor. The goal is to achieve exceptional dynamic range, depth-of-field and native black-and-white photography. Nokia has also provided tools for shooting and editing RAW DNG photos on the phone. Moreover, each of the five cameras automatically adopts the optimal settings for various parts of the scene and works with bespoke algorithms and advanced AI, to merge all five shots into a single HDR photo. You can also create beautiful bokeh effects and in photo editing, you can adjust the focus after taking a photo. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom for smartphones gives you more advanced tools for photo editing combined with the Pro Camera UI and real-time adjustments. Finally, with this setup, you can make native black-and-white photos instead of converting them to black and white after the shot. This is possible thanks to the three f/1.8 monochrome sensors. You can also record 4K HDR videos with spatial audio capture. The front-facing camera has a 20MP sensor. Nokia 9 PureView has a machined aluminium body that's 8 mm thick and is covered with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 both on the front and back. None of the cameras on the backside protrudes from the surface. The device has an in-display fingerprint sensor and supports Qi wireless charging. It is based on a Snapdragon 845 chipset with 6GB of LPPDDR4X RAM and is built around a 5.99-inch edge-to-edge pOLED QHD display with HDR10 support. There are 128GB of built-in memory on board while a 3320 mAh battery keeps the lights on. Nokia 9 PureView is an Android One (based on Android 9 Pie) device, meaning you will enjoy stock Android experience and regular updates over an extended period of time - software updates for two years; monthly security updates for three years. The model is available in midnight blue colour only and is IP67 water and dust resistant.
