Add DeviceSpecifications as a preferred source on GoogleEssential has announced on its Twitter page that a beta version of Android 8.1 Oreo is already rolling out for the Essential Phone through OTA. The update includes February security patches, dynamic calendar and clock icons, a slow-scrolling jitter fix (beta), and more. It will also be added to Essential's website, under Developer Overview. Essential has officially announced that it will release a new colour for its Essential Phone on February 15 - deep blue. Currently, this model is available in black, white deep green and grey. The front of the device is black and the colour applies only to the back. The deep green version has a dark gold frame. So we'll wait and see how the new colour option will be applied.
