Doogee V Max 2 Pro Display

The Doogee V Max 2 Pro relies on a 6.78‑inch IPS panel that renders 1080 × 2460 pixels and refreshes at up to 120 Hz. Doogee lists a typical brightness of 550 nits and a contrast ratio of 1500:1, giving the screen solid visibility and depth. Most of the display controls sit in the standard settings panel, where you can adjust brightness, screen timeout, lock‑screen behavior, text and display size, color contrast, and the screen saver. Options such as adaptive brightness, dark mode, auto‑rotation, LED notification behavior, and the appearance of top‑screen elements and wallpapers are also found here. Refresh‑rate management, however, is separated into its own section under Settings → Personalization and Wallpaper. This menu lets you lock the panel to 120 Hz, 90 Hz, or 60 Hz, or switch to the automatic mode, which varies the refresh rate depending on what’s happening on screen. Our display evaluation includes the usual set of metrics: white and black luminance levels, the resulting static contrast ratio, and the measured color temperature. As with all our smartphone testing, we rely on two measurement scenarios to capture accurate, real‑world behavior. The first uses a single frame split evenly between white and black, while the second relies on two separate full‑screen samples - one completely white and one completely black - to verify consistency and rule out panel‑driven anomalies.

The V Max 2 Pro panel reaches a peak brightness of 537.841 cd/m², measured at the center of a fully white screen. As expected, the 50% white / 50% black test produces a lower white luminance of 373.609 cd/m². Black levels remain nearly identical across both patterns, resulting in a static contrast ratio of 1290:1 for the separate‑frame measurement and 1168:1 for the single‑frame test. The white point is notably cool, with color temperature ranging between 9100 K and 9600 K.

Our brightness‑uniformity measurements show that the V Max 2 Pro panel is brightest in the middle and upper sections, with the lower portion trailing slightly - though the differences are not dramatic. The top one‑third averages 530.8 cd/m², with a white‑point temperature just above 9400 K. The middle one‑third comes in at 523.5 cd/m², maintaining a similar white‑point temperature of around 9500 K. The bottom one‑third is dimmer at 496.5 cd/m², while its white‑point temperature remains consistent at roughly 9900 K. The CIE diagram for the Doogee V Max 2 Pro shows that its display covers a color space slightly wider than standard sRGB. This results in more saturated cyan, green, yellow, orange, and light red tones, while the remaining hues stay close to their intended targets. The panel uses a traditional vertically striped RGB subpixel layout.
