The 8849 Shark 3 by Unihertz has a triple-slot tray for two Nano-SIM cards and a microSD card. Both SIM cards support 5G connectivity simultaneously. The network bands supported by both cards are as follows: 2G GSM (B2, B3, B5, B8), 2.5G (BC0, BBC1), 3G WCDMA (B1, B2, B4, B5, B6, B8, B19), 4G TDD-LTE (B34, B38, B39, B40, B41), 4G FDD-LTE (B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B7, B8, B12, B13, B17, B18, B19, B20, B25, B26, B28A, B28B, B66), and 5G (n1, n2, n3, n5, n7, n8, n12, n20, n25, n28, n38, n40, n41, n66, n77, n78). The fully integrated 5G modem features 3CC carrier aggregation and up to 5.17Gbps downlink speeds, amplifying sub-6GHz performance and range to be more effective than ever before. MediaTek 5G UltraSave 3.0+ further improves 5G power efficiency by 15% in light loading, and 10% in heavy loading connectivity scenarios compared to competitor alternatives. The device supports NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax), Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, and Cast Display. There's an IR blaster on the top frame that allows you to use the device as a remote controller of household appliances and electronics. The model also works with GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and Beidou. Our review unit managed to detect a huge number of satellites with an excellent accuracy of up to 1 m. The smartphone also features a USB Type-C 3.0 port with OTG and DisplayPort Alt Mode support. The DP Alt Mode allows you to connect video sources (e.g. PCs, Blu-Ray players, etc.) and display devices (e.g. desktop monitors, TVs, projectors, etc.) that support DisplayPort to each other via their USB-C ports to broadcast high-definition video. This feature has been tested with a USB Type-C to DP Alt Mode connector and works like a breeze connecting the Shark 3 to a desktop monitor and a TV, so whatever is displayed on the smartphone's screen can be viewed on a larger display. A 3.5 mm headphone jack is also on board.
