For the purposes of this design overview, we will describe the device held in portrait position with the front camera being on the left - the way the manufacturer intended. All references to top-bottom and left-right frames are synchronized accordingly. Ulefone Armor Pad 2 is a ruggedized tablet designed to withstand most environmental challenges and usage hazards. Its IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD-810H certifications ensure it will survive a 30-minute soak in water dipped at 1.5 meters, a soak in dust, dirt, and sand, extreme temperatures, humidity, salt mist, drops, and shock. The model's rugged qualities make it an ideal tool in various scenarios - from demanding industrial environments to a range of outdoor activities. It arrives with a convenient hand strap that you can attach and detach according to your needs. There's also a lanyard hole on the left frame. Moreover, Ulefone provides a comprehensive set of additional accessories for its rugged mobile devices that ensure comfort and convenience while using them in different situations. The Armor Pad 2 combines metal and tough polycarbonate in key areas to provide sturdiness and manageable product weight. The entire frame is covered with shock-absorbing TPU that's extended to cover a good part of the rear shell, too. It not only provides cushioning during impact but also a more secure grip when holding the device with hands. On the two vertical sides and the bottom of the rear shell, three wide areas with a textured surface also adhere to provide a more comfortable and secure grip. The raised frame and the four corners are additionally reinforced to offer more protection during drops. The central part of the rear shell is covered with tough polycarbonate. It also features four "legs" on its four corners that provide stability when the device is placed on a flat surface. The display on the front is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Ulefone Armor Pad 2 has a manageable form factor. After all, this is a tablet with an 11" screen and an 18600 mAh battery. The device weighs a kilo and is 14 mm thick. Its longer side is 277.8 mm and the shorter one measures 178 mm. It is available in two colors - yellow and black. We are reviewing a yellow version. The color is used to accentuate various elements such as the polycarbonate case of the screen, decorative elements on the sides, and the main part of the rear shell. The front is occupied by the big 11-inch display with 1.1 cm thick bezels on all four sides. The left bezel houses the selfie camera. The LED notification light and the light sensor are positioned to its left. Like most other tablets, this one does not have an earpiece. Conversations are held via the two 1326 BOX stereo speakers - one on the top frame and one on the bottom one. These are real stereo units. The top frame also houses the hybrid, dual-SIM tray positioned under a rubber protective cap. The bottom frame houses the USB Type-C port and the headphone jack, also covered with a protective cap. The Volume Up and Volume Down buttons are located on the left frame together with the uSmart connector and the lanyard hole. The customizable key in orange color and the power button, with an embedded fingerprint sensor, are placed on the right frame. The rear shell houses most of the elements of the device. The top center features a trapezoidal element that protrudes from the surface of the rear shell and is surrounded by a protective frame with a cover glass on top. It houses the rear camera, the LED flash, and the bright camping light which has 383 LEDs and provides a maximum brightness of 750 Lumens. It is operated by a dedicated app. An important detail while using the camping light is to protect your eyes and those of the people around you and never look directly into it. The bottom center features another trapezoidal element with the same size but it has a textured TPU surface and the Ulefone logo. Four screw holes are clearly visible on the yellow part of the rear shell - they are intended for attaching the hand strap provided in the box. The pressure relief hole positioned near the camping light is the last design element on the back of the tablet.
