UK-based Wileyfox announces its first two smartphones, both running Cyanogen OSWileyfox is a brand-new smartphone manufacturer based in the UK that very much resembles OnePlus, or at least its strategy for launching flagship-like devices packed with mid- and high-end features and sporting an affordable price. The first set of devices from the new brand includes the Wileyfox Storm and the Wileyfox Swift, with the latter being the mid-range variant of the Storm. Both are running Cyanogen OS 12.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop - another parallel with OnePlus. The Wileyfox Storm is equipped with a 5.5-inch IPS display with a 1080p resolution and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. Its performance is based on the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 MSM8939 chipset that includes a 1.5GHz octa-core CPU and an Adreno 405 GPU. These are complemented by 3GB of RAM, while the internal memory measures 32GB. It is expandable with up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. This slot can also be used for a second SIM card, if you choose so, as the device is a hybrid dual-SIM one. It supports 2G, 3G and 4G LTE networks plus Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. The pair of cameras is not bad at all, including a 20-megapixel primary shooter with a Sony IMX220 sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary camera. Power is provided by a 2500 mAh non-removable battery. The Wileyfox Storm is priced at £199. The Wileyfox Swift sports a 5-inch IPS display with a 720p resolution and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. Under the hood is placed a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 chipset that includes a 1.2GHz octa-core CPU and an Adreno 306 GPU. The RAM measures 2GB and the storage is twice less than that of the Storm - 16GB. Still, it can be expanded with up to 32GB via a microSD card slot that can also serve as a second SIM card slot. This model supports the same networks and connectivity options as the Storm. The camera department is totally different, though. The primary shooter is equipped with a 13-megapixel Samsung S5K3M2 sensor, while the front camera packs a 5-megapixel sensor. The battery of the Swift is the same as the one of the Storm - 2500 mAh - and having in mind the slightly smaller display, it should provide more hours of talking, internet browsing, multimedia playback, gaming. The Wileyfox Swift is priced at £129. The two models will be available from September in Europe and from October in the UK.Исходный текст
