Oukitel WP33 Pro Review - the new number one smartphone in battery life

Display

Oukitel WP33 Pro has a 6.6-inch IPS display with an FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2408) and a typical brightness of 450 nits. The Display settings allow you to adjust the brightness level, switch on/off the adaptive brightness, dark theme, and night light toggles, manage the lock screen, select the color mode, wallpaper, screen saver, and others. The display is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 that's 1.1 mm thick. Our usual measurements of the main display including the white and black luminance, static contrast ratio, and color temperature are published below. If you follow our smartphone reviews, you already know that for a more realistic result, we make two different measurements - on a single frame that displays 50% white and 50% black and on two separate frames displaying a fully white and a fully black screen.

The maximum brightness of the display of the WP33 Pro we have is 502.363 cd/m² measured in the center of a fully white screen. Our measurements reveal a classic "behavior" of the IPS display panel with a higher brightness delivered on two separate frames and a lower one (396.456 nits) on a single frame showing 50% white and 50% black. The black luminance measured again twice is proportionately lower, hence, the static contrast ratio is 1700:1 from both types of measurements. All this also confirms Oukitel's official data for 450 nits of typical brightness. The temperature of the white point is exceеding 10000 K.

Our brightness uniformity measurement shows that the display of the WP33 Pro is relatively uniformly bright. The top one-third of the screen has an average brightness of around 515 nits. The middle one-third has an average brightness of around 507 nits. The bottom one-third has an average brightness of 515 nits. The temperature of the white point at all tiers is around 10000 K. The CIE diagram shows that the display covers slightly more than 100% of the sRGB color space but it's not exact. The darkest blues will be slightly subtle, while the darkest magentas will be slightly punchier. Partially, the green and pinkish hues are almost perfect. You will get puncher light greens, yellows, and orange hues with subtler reds. The display panel has a traditional vertical striped RGB subpixel arrangement.
