Oukitel WP33 Pro Review - the new number one smartphone in battery life

Oukitel WP33 Pro packs a 22000 mAh Li-Pol battery. Indeed, this is the model's biggest asset (literally and figuratively speaking). It supports 33W fast wired charging and 18W reverse wired charging so you can use this device as a reliable powerbank. According to Oukitel, the device should provide up to 120 hours of talk time, 80 hours of listening to music, 30 hours of video playing, and 20 hours of gaming. Oukitel WP33 Pro is our newest battery life record setter demonstrated by the tests below. All battery life tests are developed in-house. The display of every device we test is calibrated to 200 cd/m² and battery-saving features are disabled. The battery of our WP33 Pro was charged in full for 4 hours and 29 minutes with the provided USB data cable and charger. This result surpasses Oukitel's estimations by half an hour. The charging process maintains a steady pace from the start until the battery regains 80% of its charge. This happens 2 hours and 45 minutes from the start. After that, the process slows down and it takes 45 minutes to complete the next 10% of the charge. Finally, after 90%, the process slows down even more and it takes 1 hour and 10 minutes to charge the battery to 100%. The battery temperature starts at 25°C and gradually increases to 46°C. This level is hit at the second hour and is maintained for 40 minutes. After that, the temperature starts decreasing and measures 30°C in the end. During our intensive browsing test with the display's refresh rate set at 60Hz, the battery of our WP33 Pro lasted for 62 hours and 17 minutes - this is the new top result in the 60Hz browsing test. The discharging process shows a slow beginning - after the first two hours, the battery loses only 1-2% of its charge. The battery temperature starts at 21°C, increases to 25°C in 2 hours, stays at this level for 7 hours, and increases again to 28°C. After the 20th hour, the temperature drops again gradually to 25°C and repeats this increase and drop once again. At the end, it measures 27°C. The video test for battery life uses a 1080p video at 30 fps with a ~20Mbps rate is used. Our review unit's score is 67 hours and 42 minutes. Again, this is the new best result in this test and the Oukitel WP33 Pro is the new record holder. The discharging process begins slowly - after the first four hours, the charge drops by 1-2%. Then the process gains speed and maintains it until the end. The battery temperature starts at 25°C, increases to 30°C, and fluctuates like this until the end. The 4K video battery life test uses a 2160p video at 30 fps with a ~55 Mbps rate. In this test, the battery of the Oukitel WP33 Pro lasted for 28 hours demonstrating that 4K video playing puts a serious strain on the device. This is further supported by the battery temperature, which is now within the 30-38°C range. The discharging process follows the same pattern with a slow beginning and stable development until the end. For the 3D Graphics/Gaming test we used two types of tests just to demonstrate a comparison The first one is with the YEBIS OpenGL ES 3.0 3D Tech Demo which we've been using so far but will be dropped because it is not supported by Android 14 devices. It is a heavier test compared to the one with Real Racing 3 (shown below). The result from this test is 31 hours and 30 minutes. The discharging process maintains the same pattern as the previous tests. The battery temperature starts at 29°C and reaches its peak of 36°C at the 25th hour. This level is maintained for 3-4 hours only, and at the end, the temperature is 34°C. Here's the result from the Real Racing 3 variant of the test - 35 hours and 38 minutes. The discharging process does not have a slow beginning this time. The battery temperature starts at 31°C, reaches 34°C in 2 hours and maintains it until the end with occasional drops to 33°C. The above photos of the Oukitel WP33 Pro are taken with a FLIR thermal camera. The upper photo shows the device's temperature during charging. The hottest part during this process is the center of the upper half of the body with a temperature of 39.5°C. The second photo depicts the device's temperature during our 3D battery life test. In this case, the hottest part is the center of the chin with a temperature of 34.6°C.

Battery Settings

The Battery menu is very limited. It contains the general battery status - charge percentage and charging/not charging. Then, there's the Battery Saver with its usual options for automatic and manual switching on/off. Finally, there's the battery percentage toggle and that's it - no other options for management.
