Oukitel WP56 Battery Life Tests

Oukitel WP56 boasts a 16000 mAh Li-Pol battery pack with 45W fast charging support and 18W reverse wired charging. All battery life tests are developed in-house. The display of every device we test is calibrated to 200 cd/m², and battery-saving features are disabled. The Oukitel WP56 battery charged from 0% to 100% in 2 hours and 53 minutes with the provided USB cable and charger. The charging process is relatively steady from the start until the battery regains 80% of its charge. This happens 1 hour and 50 minutes from the start. After that point, the process slows down and it takes 15 minutes to reach 90% and another 50 minutes to complete the process from 90% to 100%. The battery temperature starts at 26°C, hits 37°C, and continues to increase gradually to its peak of 51°C, which is reached 1 hour later. This level is maintained for 40 minutes, and the battery temperature starts decreasing immediately after that, dropping to 36°C in the end. The graph demonstrates that the battery voltage records a jump during the first 5 minutes, reflected by the jump in battery temperature, and continues to increase gradually until the battery reaches 60% of its charge. After that, the voltage marks another jump and when it hits 4450 mV, the battery charge has reached 80%. At that point, the voltage almost flattens out at this level. During our intensive browsing test with the screen's refresh rate set at 60Hz, the battery lasted 40 hours and 10 minutes. The discharging process is slow for the first hour but gains speed and maintains it until the battery drops to 1% of its charge. At that point, the process slows down a bit. The battery temperature fluctuates in the 34°C-36°C range from the start until the end. During our intensive browsing test with the screen's refresh rate set at 120Hz, the battery lasted 29 hours and 58 minutes. The discharging process resembles the pattern from the previous browsing test with a slow start for almost an hour and a slower ending that begins after the battery drops to 1%. The battery temperature starts at 33°C, hits 39°C in 2 hours and 30 minutes, then decreases after the 6th hour of the test, drops to 35°C, and then starts increasing again around the 18th hour of the test. It hits 39°C again at the 23rd hour and remains at this level until the end. The video test for battery life uses a 1080p video at 30 fps with a ~20Mbps rate. Our review unit's score is 44 hours and 46 minutes. In this case, the slower start and end of the charging process are much less pronounced. The battery temperature fluctuates in the 30°C-35°C range from the start until the end. The 4K video battery life test uses a 2160p video at 30 fps with a ~55 Mbps rate. In this test, the Oukitel WP56 battery lasted for 41 hours and 49 minutes. The discharging process graph is the same as the one for the 1080p video test. The battery temperature also fluctuates in the same 30°C-35°C range throughout the entire process. For the 3D Graphics/Gaming test, Real Racing 3 is used. The discharging process follows the same pattern observed during the 120Hz 3D Graphics/Gaming test with a slower start and end. The battery temperature starts at 33°C, gradually increases to 36°C in 1 hour and 40 minutes, fluctuates around this level for 16 hours, and then increases to 39°C at the end. With the display's refresh rate increased to 120Hz, the result from the 3D Graphics/Gaming test is 29 hours and 18 minutes. The discharging process begins a bit slower, but in 30 minutes, it gains speed and maintains it until the battery charge drops to 1%. At that point, the process slows down significantly, and it takes 50 minutes for the battery to drain completely. The battery temperature starts at 33°C. During the first half of the process, it fluctuates between 35°C and 38°C. After that, it sticks to 38°C for six hours. During the final six hours, the temperature is in the 39°C-40°C range.

Battery Settings

The Battery menu has a classic layout. First off, you see the current battery percentage and status - charging/not charging. Then, you can check the battery usage and some related stats. The second menu manages the battery saver settings - scheduling, auto turn on/off, and additional, more rigorous power saving features. You can select Smart Power, which is slightly restrictive. Then, there's Long Standby, where you can choose to limit Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Data Connection, and/or Brightness. Finally, there's the Super Power mode, which also appears separately as a super power-saving mode. It switches to an all-dark theme with only four apps available - Phone, Messages, Contacts, and Clock. There's an option to exit it, of course. Finally, the battery settings include a Battery Manager toggle and a toggle for hiding/showing the battery percentage value in the status bar.
