Add DeviceSpecifications as a preferred source on GoogleMediaTek has unveiled the Dimensity 9500s and Dimensity 8500, two new additions to its Dimensity chipset portfolio designed to elevate performance, power efficiency, AI capabilities, imaging, gaming, and wireless connectivity across flagship and premium smartphones.
MediaTek Dimensity 9500s: built for endurance and power
The Dimensity 9500s is engineered on a flagship‑grade 3nm process and adopts an All Big Core architecture to maximize both performance and energy efficiency. Its octa‑core CPU configuration features a Cortex‑X925 ultra core clocked up to 3.73GHz, supported by three Cortex‑X4 premium cores and four Cortex‑A720 performance cores.Graphics performance is driven by the Immortalis‑G925 GPU, delivering full‑frame, immersive gameplay and supporting advanced ray tracing for next‑generation visual fidelity. MediaTek’s adaptive game technology 3.0 (MAGT 3.0) and frame technology 3.0 (MFRC 3.0) further enhance energy efficiency, helping extend battery life during intensive gaming sessions.
The chipset's flagship‑class NPU is optimized for generative reasoning and multimodal AI models, enabling more powerful on‑device content creation and enhanced computational photography. It supports high‑frequency daily tasks such as live photo post‑processing, AI‑driven image editing - including outpainting, matting, and object removal -and AI summarization for calls, meetings, and files.
Imaging performance is strengthened by the MediaTek Imagiq processor, which enables real‑time 30fps motion tracking and 8K full‑focus Dolby Vision HDR video recording. The platform also delivers fast, clear snapshots and advanced noise reduction for creators who demand high‑quality results.

The result is smoother multitasking, responsive gaming, and extended battery life in everyday use.A Mali‑G720 GPU powers the graphics subsystem, delivering a 25% performance uplift and 20% lower power consumption compared with the previous generation. With an upgraded computing core and gaming engine, the Dimensity 8500 offers stable full‑frame gameplay, faster loading times, and improved energy efficiency.
