This smartphone marks a bold evolution in smartphone design, blending ultra-thin engineering with powerful performance and a suite of intelligent features. At just 6.6 mm thick, the Mate 70 Air redefines portability without compromising durability or capability. Its 7-inch immersive display, crafted with Huawei's proprietary technology, delivers a cinematic experience in the palm of your hand, while the use of Kunlun Glass ensures tenfold drop resistance compared to conventional materials.
The 7-inch OLED display has a resolution of 1320 x 2760 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It also supports up to 300 Hz touch sampling rate and 2160 Hz PWM dimming. The gently curved screen delivers a peak brightness of 4000 nits.
Huawei's commitment to visual excellence is evident in the Mate 70 Air's imaging system. With a 50MP 1/1.3-inch main sensor, the camera captures true-to-life colors and maintains clarity even in complex lighting conditions. Whether shooting in natural, film, or anime modes, users can expect vibrant, nuanced results. It is complemented by a 12MP RYYB telephoto unit with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera. AI-powered features like portrait refinement, glare removal, and Magic Cutout further enhance creative control, allowing users to manipulate and optimize images with ease. A 10.7MP super ultra-wide camera sits on the front for selfies.
Under the hood, the Mate 70 Air runs HarmonyOS 5.1, offering a fluid, secure, and deeply integrated user experience. AI enhancements extend to voice calls with dual-direction noise cancellation, facial recognition risk alerts during video chats, and seamless file sharing via Huawei’s "Tap to Share" feature. The phone also supports Wi-Fi 7+, boosting signal strength by 5 dB and reducing streaming lag by up to 80%, making it ideal for high-demand connectivity scenarios. Processing power is based on the Kirin 9020A chipset for the 16GB version and the Kirin 9020B for the 12GB variant. The available storage options include 256GB and 512GB.
Battery life is another standout, with a 6500 mAh capacity, Silicon-Carbon anode, and support for 66W Huawei SuperCharge. This ensures all-day power and rapid top-ups, even during intensive use. The Mate7 0 Air also introduces satellite messaging via China's Beidou system, offering peace of mind in remote areas where traditional networks falter.
Visually, the device is available in elegant finishes, each crafted from Huawei’s innovative materials for enhanced impact resistance and long-term resilience. The Mate 70 Air also meets the IP68 and IP69 standards for dust and water resistance, including high-pressure, high-temperature spray testing.
