Add DeviceSpecifications as a preferred source on GoogleThe Cubot KingKong Ace 5 is made for people who never slow down. Its battery is engineered to keep going long after most phones give up, while its slim, modern shape makes it easy to carry anywhere. And despite that streamlined look, it's still a true rugged device - unbothered by drops, dust, or sudden weather. It's a phone that balances stamina, portability, and toughness, ready for everything from daily commutes to off‑grid adventures.
The KingKong Ace 5 is built with durability at its core, engineered to handle whatever the environment throws at it. Its IP68 and IP69 ratings mean it can be submerged in water, endure dust‑heavy conditions, and even take on high‑pressure hot water without flinching. Add to that the MIL‑STD‑810H certification, which confirms its resistance to shocks and drops from every angle, and you get a genuinely tough device. Yet this toughness doesn't come at the expense of looks or longevity. It's a phone that blends resilience with a clean, confident design - perfect for explorers, field professionals, and anyone who wants strength without sacrificing portability.
The KingKong Ace 5 is built around a high‑capacity 10200 mAh battery, but Cubot has engineered it in a way that avoids the usual bulk. The phone uses a specially designed cell that frees up internal space and trims unnecessary weight, allowing the device to stay surprisingly slim at 15.3 mm and just 352 grams. Its footprint - 83.3 mm in width and 177.2 mm in height - makes it noticeably smaller than other rugged models carrying similar 10000–10500 mAh batteries and a 6.7‑inch screen.
Despite its compact build, the battery performance is substantial: up to 1250 hours on standby, 75 hours of calls, 55 hours of music, 16 hours of video, and 12 hours of gaming, based on Cubot's official data. The software adds even more endurance through a suite of power‑management tools, including ultra-power-saving, app standby controls, auto‑launch restrictions, and options for handling energy‑hungry apps.
The front of the KingKong Ace 5 is almost entirely given over to its large display, framed by slim bezels - 3 mm on the sides, with thicker borders of 4 mm at the top and 6 mm at the bottom. The upper bezel houses a small cutout for the front camera, a 16MP shooter with an f/2.25 aperture capable of FHD video and face unlock. To the right sit the light and proximity sensors along with the notification LED, while the earpiece is neatly positioned between the display and the frame. Navigation can be handled either through gesture controls or traditional on‑screen buttons, depending on user preference.
The display itself uses an IPS panel with a 6.745-inch diagonal size and an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 px. The screen supports refresh rates up to 120 Hz and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. In addition to the standard display settings, you also get Game Space options for adjusting your gaming experience, a Video Display Enhancement toggle, LED notification light settings, and Pocket Mode options.
The back of the KingKong Ace 5 is built from durable polycarbonate wrapped in shock‑absorbing TPU, creating a textured finish that enhances both grip and visual appeal. The upper portion is dominated by a circular camera module framed by an LED ring that doubles as a camping light. This module is shielded by a glass cover and reinforced with four raised corners for added protection. Below the camera island, a glossy oval accent with orange trim and the Cubot logo adds a distinctive visual touch to the rear design.
Inside the cluster sit three cameras and a 1A LED flash. The primary lens, positioned in the top‑left, uses a 48MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and captures 12MP images by default through 4‑in‑1 pixel binning, with a full‑resolution 48MP mode available. It also supports FHD video recording at 30 fps. To its right is a 0.3MP depth sensor, while the lower lens is a 2MP macro camera designed for close‑ups at a 4 cm distance.
The top frame of the KingKong Ace 5 is left intentionally clean, while the bottom frame houses the USB Type‑C port protected by an insulating cap, along with the primary microphone and waterproof speaker. A lanyard hole sits neatly in the lower‑right corner for added carrying options. On the right side, you'll find the Power button and Volume rocker, and the left side features the customizable Smart Key. Just above it is the hybrid dual‑Nano‑SIM tray, which can be removed with a pick or similar tool and includes its own sealing band. The tray supports either two Nano‑SIM cards or one Nano‑SIM paired with a microSD card. Both SIM slots are compatible with a wide range of network bands, including 2G GSM (B2, B3, B5, B8), 3G WCDMA (B1, B2, B4, B5, B8), 4G FDD‑LTE (B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B7, B8, B12, B17, B20, B26, B28, B66), and 4G TDD‑LTE (B38, B39, B40, B41).
The KingKong Ace 5 is powered by the Unisoc T7280 chipset - formerly known as the Tiger T620 - designed for efficient, reliable performance in modern 4G devices. Its octa‑core architecture pairs two 2.2GHz Cortex‑A75 cores with six 1.8GHz Cortex‑A55 cores, while graphics are handled by an 850MHz Mali‑G57 GPU. The device scores 436,882 points on AnTuTu 11 and 324,468 points on AnTuTu 10.
The phone comes equipped with 8GB of dual‑channel LPDDR4X RAM running at 1866MHz, and the system can allocate up to 12GB of virtual memory, giving you as much as 20GB of total usable RAM. Storage is set at 256GB, with roughly 238GB available out of the box, and the hybrid SIM tray allows for expansion via microSD - up to 1TB - if you're not using a second SIM.
On the software side, the device runs clean, stock Android 16. Connectivity options include NFC, Wi‑Fi 5 (802.11ac), Bluetooth 5.0, Wi‑Fi Direct, hotspot support, and Cast display. For navigation, it taps into multiple satellite systems: GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and Beidou.
The KingKong Ace 5 comes packaged in Cubot's signature teal box - a slim, rectangular design featuring the model name and an image of the phone on the lid. Inside, the essentials are neatly arranged: a 33W fast charger, a USB‑C cable, the SIM‑tray ejector tool, and the user manual.
