Lagenio Panther 2 Pro Battery Life Tests

Lagenio Panther 2 Pro is powered by a 5150 mAh Li-Po battery. According to the manufacturer, it should provide up to 33 hours of talk time and up to 900 hours of standby time. The unit supports 20W wired charging and 5W reverse wired charging. We have developed all battery life tests we run on the smartphones and tablets we review. They are performed with the device's screen being calibrated to 200 cd/m2. Battery-saving features are disabled. All test results and battery life comparisons are below.
Charging (2 hours and 8 minutes)
The Lagenio Panther 2 Pro needed 2 hours and 8 minutes to charge fully from 0% with its own charger and cable. The charging process maintains a relatively steady pace from the start until the battery reaches 80% of its charge. That's 1 hour and 15 minutes from the beginning. It needs 17 minutes to reach 90%, after which the process slows down even more, and it takes 36 minutes to finish charging. The battery temperature starts at 26°C and very slowly reaches 46-47°C. This happens after 40 minutes from the start. The 46-47°C level is retained for half an hour, after which the temperature begins to decrease slowly. In the end, it measures 29°C. The voltage during charging draws a familiar curve. The beginning is always marked by a sharp peak from 3890 mV to 4050 mV in mere 3 minutes. After that, the voltage continues to increase moderately. During charging from 40% to 80%, the voltage shows sharp rises and drops. After that, it reaches its peak at 4410 mV, when the battery hits 80% of its charge, and this voltage level is maintained until the end.
Browsing at 60 Hz (12 hours and 33 minutes)
The Panther 2 Pro battery lasted for 12 hours and 33 minutes of heavy browsing with the display's refresh rate set at 60 Hz. The discharging process marks a minor sharp drop at the start and at the very end, while the majority of the time it keeps a steady pace. The battery temperature begins at 27°C, reaches 30°C in 10 minutes, and maintains at this level until the end.
Browsing at 120 Hz (10 hours and 2 minutes)
With the display's refresh rate set at 120 Hz, the Panther 2 Pro battery lasted for 10 hours and 2 minutes during heavy browsing. The discharging process follows the same logic. It begins with a sharp drop of 5% during the first 10 minutes. After that, the process maintains a stable moderate pace until the very end, when the last 2% are depleted in a couple of minutes. The battery temperature starts at 24°C, reaches 32°C in an hour, and maintains this level until the end.
1080p Video at 60 Hz (15 hours and 14 minutes)
1920x1080, 30 fps, H.264, 20Mbps bitrate
The video playing battery life test uses a 1080p video at 30 fps with a ~20Mbps rate. Our review unit's score is 15 hours and 14 minutes. The discharging process maintains a steady pace until the battery drops to 12% of its charge. At that moment, the process develops extremely fast and the remaining charge is depleted in 25 minutes. The battery temperature starts at 30°C, drops to 26°C, and maintains this level until the end.
3D Graphics/Gaming at 60 Hz (6 hours and 10 minutes)
Real Racing 3
We performed the 3D Graphics/Gaming test using the Modern Strike online game with the display set at 60 Hz. The battery lasted 6 hours and 10 minutes of gaming. The discharging process maintained its pattern with a faster beginning and a faster ending. The battery temperature starts at 29°C, reaches 38°C in 1 hour and a half, and then very slowly increases to 40°C, remaining at this level until the end.

Lagenio Panther 2 Pro Battery Settings

The Battery menu of the Lagenio Panther 2 Pro offers expanded options. It provides the standard battery status data and the battery usage data by app and system. The menu adds a Battery Health section, which allows you to set a charging limit and observe the cycle count. The standard Battery Saver is also present with options for scheduling based on percentage. It adds another option for scheduled saving. Lagenio has also included an Ultra Saving Mode toggle, which restricts most of the apps and services. The Adaptive Battery toggle is also present and when it is turned on, it detects apps that are draining power and prompts you to take action. You can also toggle on/off the Battery Percentage from the status bar. Four additional options for app battery settings are also included: app standby optimizer, stop app after screen lock, auto launch management, and power-intensive apps.
