I have owned this phone for 5 weeks. Samsung does not cover for water damage. Samsung claims that there is corrosion on the motherboard from water damage. Opening of the back does not reveal that the phone came into contact with water, as the water marks are still white. The phone's glass face is prone to break if it is opened up entirely which makes it a poor candidate to be repaired or examined by an outside source. The phone has not come in direct contact with any water while in my possession. I am being told by Samsung that humidity could cause such a problem by going into the speaker. Samsung claimed that the s6 model addressed the water damage issues of the 5. This whole issue leads me to believe it is a design defect.
