The new models bring noticeable improvements to displays and performance. Both screens have grown sharper, with the Phone (4a) Pro now offering a 6.83‑inch AMOLED panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate, a 1260 x 2800 px resolution, a 1224 x 2720 px resolution, and a high pixel density of 450 ppi. The standard Phone (4a) follows closely with a 6.78‑inch AMOLED display at 120 Hz and 440 ppi.

Processing power has also stepped up: the Pro model runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, while the regular version uses the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. In synthetic benchmarks, the Pro reaches around 1.3 million points in AnTuTu 11, while the non‑Pro lands near one million. Memory options include 8 GB or 12 GB of LPDDR5X (Pro) / LPDDR4X (vanilla model) RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. As with previous Nothing models, there is no microSD slot.

Camera hardware remains familiar in structure but not identical in execution. Both phones feature a 32MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5 front camera and a triple rear system consisting of a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and an 8 MP ultra‑wide module. The main sensors differ slightly: the Pro uses Sony's LYT‑700C, while the standard model relies on the Samsung ISOCELL GN9. The front camera on has actually been downgraded compared to the Nothing (3a) series, a curious decision given the otherwise forward‑moving spec sheet.

Nothing’s design philosophy has always been as important as its hardware, and this generation continues to experiment. The Phone (4a) Pro abandons the brand's signature glyph lighting in favor of a metal body with a tiny 137‑pixel display embedded into the camera island. This miniature screen reportedly reaches 3000 nits of brightness. The regular Phone (4a) keeps things simpler with a "Glyph Bar," a row of seven illuminated squares that serve as its visual signature. The chassis of the Pro models is rated IP65 for dust and water resistance, while the vanilla model has an IP64 rating.

Both devices share the same 5080 mAh battery with 50W fast charging, though Nothing says that the Indian market will receive versions with a slightly larger 5400 mAh cell. NFC, under‑display fingerprint scanners, and gyroscopes are all present, as expected.

In Europe, the Phone (4a) starts at €350 for the 8/128 GB configuration, while the Phone (4a) Pro begins at $500 in the United States and €480 in Europe. India, as usual, receives more aggressive pricing, with the base Phone (4a) starting at ₹32,000 and the Pro at ₹40,000.
