Designed for maximum performance, the Pro cooler supports a constant 5W power draw and must be connected to an appropriate power source to reach its full potential. The TEC area (Peltier module size) covers an area of 1640 mm² and can reach sub‑zero temperatures in just ten seconds, achieving cooling levels as low as –25°C and reducing heat by up to 80°C. The REDMAGIC Cooler 8 Air adopts a compact square design measuring 63 mm in width and height. It is thinner than the Pro model, with a waistline of 21 mm. The Air is almost twice as light at 65 g. At the bottom of the cooler, you will find a USB Type-C port supporting 18W peak power. There’s a button to its right that switches on/off the RGB lights as well as a green LED light to its left, indicating the device is in operation. The Air model does not support the Goper app. The entire device has a plastic frame in silver. The top has an inner plastic ring in black, a mesh covering the top of the fan, and a REDMAGIC logo in the center. The sides are surrounded by a metal frame with holes and hot air outlets. Inside, the RGB lights are positioned in a ring around the cooling fan. The cooling fan has seven blades like the REDMAGIC VC Cooler 6 Pro. The TEC (Peltier module) sits at the bottom and has an area of 30 x 30 mm. The cooler is capable of cooling down to as low as -12℃. It does not have an NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) thermistor for condensation control. However, it doesn't have extreme temperature amplitudes like the Pro version and its 80℃ of cooling range. The REDMAGIC Cooler 8 Air can be attached to a mobile phone either by the magnetic pad or by the optional REDMAGIC bracket.
