The brand name is derived from the height of the highest peak on earth - Mount Everest, which is 8848 m. The successor of the Unihertz Tank is created as an all-in-one tool for outdoor enthusiasts, professionals working in extreme conditions, and everyone looking for a multi-feature and exceptionally durable smartphone. Specifications

8849 Tank 2 by Unihertz features a 6.79-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels and a Panda MN228 glass for protection. The punch hole in the top center of the screen houses the 32MP Samsung S5KGD1 selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera department is headed by a 108MP Samsung S5KHM2 sensor with an f/1.75 aperture. It is adjoined by a 16MP OmniVision OV16B10 ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 64MP OmniVision OV64B40 Night Vision camera with four IR lights. The 8849 Tank 2 by Unihertz is based on the 6nm MediaTek Helio G99 (MT6789) chipset with a 2.2GHz octa-core CPU and a 1GHz dual-core Mali-G57 GPU. It is paired with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM that can be virtually expanded with up to 10GB and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage that can be expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot. Power is supplied by a 15500 mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. The 8849 Tank 2 by Unihertz has a triple-slot tray for two Nano-SIM cards and a microSD card. Both SIM cards support 4G connectivity simultaneously. The network bands supported by both cards are as follows: 2G GSM (2/3/5/8), 2.5G (BC0/BC1), 3G WCDMA (1/2/4/5/8), 4G TDD-LTE (34/38/39/40/41), and 4G FDD-LTE (1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/13/17/18/19/20/25/26/28A/28B/66). The wireless connectivity options of the model include Bluetooth 5.3, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, and Wi-Fi Display. The smartphone also supports NFC and has an IR blaster. It works with GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and Beidou and is fitted with a USB Type-C 2.0 port with OTG, a 3.5 mm jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The model runs on stock Android 13 and has an IP68 and MIL-STD-810H rating.
