The Tank 3 Pro is the second Unihertz 8849 model with a built-in projector after the Tank 2. It is a totally different device, however. For starters, the resolution is different and on the new model, it is 854 x 480 px. The model of the projector's chip is TI DLP 0.2. The typical brightness at the center is 100 Lumnes and the brightness uniformity is 94% as per the projector's official specifications. The contrast ratio is 460:1. There are two waterproof warm air outlets for a built-in fan that cools off the projector.

An interesting feature of this particular model is that it has a focus range. The projector on the Tank 3 Pro supports a focus range from 0.5 to 3 meters. There's a dedicated button to adjust the focus placed on the left frame. When the device projects from a distance of 0.5 m, the projected image is around 20" (44.2 x 24.8 cm). When the device projects from 1 meter, the projected image has a 40" diagonal size (88.5 cm x 49.7 cm). Finally, when the distance is increased two, the projected image is also increased twice with an 80" diagonal size (177 c 99.4 cm). The device has two waterproof outlets to take out the hot air from the fan that's cooling the projector, while in operation.

There's a dedicated app on the Home Screen for the projector. When you tap on it, it switches on and off this function. The Settings app also has a Projector menu from where you can switch it on and off and adjust the screen orientation and the brightness level. It also includes options for the keystone correction (auto and disable) and the output style (landscape and portrait).
