Overview

The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE a.k.a. Xiaomi 2109119DG is very light, indeed, and slim, and gorgeous-looking but in terms of performance, this smartphone is no "lite" at all. It has the whole package to become a favorite of the masses. The device combines lovely design, well-balanced specs, and great performance for its price. Specifications

The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is built around a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2400), and a 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass for protection. The display works at up to a 90Hz refresh rate but it is fixed and you can choose between this level and 60Hz in case you want to save on battery life. The punch hole in the top-left corner of the display houses a 20MP Samsung S5K3T2 selfie snapper with an f/2.24 aperture, while the rear shell features a triple-camera module comprising a 64MP Samsung S5KGW3 main shooter with an f/1.79 aperture, a 5MP Samsung S5K5E9 telemacro camera with an f/2.4 aperture, and an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide unit. The smartphone is powered by a 4250 mAh battery paired with a 33W fast charger included in the box.

The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G (SDM778G) Mobile Platform. Based on the 6nm production node, this system-on-chip features an octa-core Kryo 670 CPU with a single 2.4GHz Cortex-A78 core, three 2.2GHz A78 cores, and four 1.9GHz Cortex-A55 cores. The graphics department is managed by a Qualcomm Adreno 642L clocked up to 490 MHz. There are 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage on board. The latter can be further expanded via a microSD card slot. The chipset uses Qualcomm's 6th Gen AI engine and selected Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming features.

Thanks to the Snapdragon X53 modem, the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE (Xiaomi 2109119DG) supports the following network bands: 2G GSM (B2/3/5/8), 3G W-CDMA (B1/2/4/5/6/8/19), 4G LTE-FDD (B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/17/20/28), 4G LTE-TDD (34/B38/39/40/41), 5G NSA and 5G SA (n1/n3/n28/n41/n77/n78/n79). The wireless connectivity options of the model include Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Display, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac. The smartphone also arrives with NFC support, an IR blaster, a USB Type-C 2.0 with OTG support, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor by Goodix/FPC. In terms of positioning, the model supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and Beidou and runs on Global MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11.

What's in the box

Our Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE review unit arrived in a white rectangular box with lettering in copper-gold color. The big number 11 on the top of the lid designated the series, while the brand and model name are imprinted with small letters on the top and sides of the lid.
