In order to enjoy music from Cubot X18 you can use either the Play Music or default Music apps, which arrive pre-installed, or of course use any other app out there you find useful. The default Music app has a changed skin but offers the same functionality. It groups the audio files according to the artist, song, and album names, can create playlists, shuffle and repeat files within them, and has a standard player with the usual equalizer. The audio test has been performed by using the TASCAM US-2x2 audio interface and the RightMark Audio Analyzer software as usual. All audio enhancement features are disabled. The test results unveil an average audio quality. The device excels in frequency response but is average in THD+Noise and good in THD (total harmonic distortion) and IMD at 10 kHz. The other four parameters are rated as very good and so is the overall result. The bottom-firing speaker is placed behind the left speaker grill. It is loud enough but has a tinny note to the sound coming out of it. At the highest volume levels, the sound is significantly distorted.
