Ulefone Armor 2 has three separate slots - two for Nano-SIM cards and one for a microSD card. These are placed on the back of the device and can be accessed if you remove the plate that covers them. For this purpose, you have to use the small screwdriver provided in the package and unscrew the two bolts. The model supports a plethora of network bands and can be used in most areas of the world. To be more specific, here they are: 2G GSM (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz), 2.5G CDMA 800 MHz, 3G W-CDMA (850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100 MHz), 3G TD-SCDMA (1880-1920, 2010-2025 MHz), 4G -FDD (700 MHz Class 17, 800, 850, 900, 1700/2100, 1800, 1900, 2100, 2600 MHz), and 4G LTE-TDD (1900 MHz (B39), 2300 MHz (B40), 2500 MHz (B41), 2600 MHz (B38), 800 MHz (B19), 700 MHz (B12)). 4G speeds are Cat. 6 ones. The wireless connectivity options of the model include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, Cast display, Bluetooth 4.1. Our review unit has been quite stable in detecting and maintaining connections. Moreover, it provides full-blown NFC functionality, including Android Beam and Tap & Pay services, despite for it being based on a MediaTek chipset. The smartphone does not have a 3.5 mm jack. It arrives with a headphone adapter instead. The only onboard physical port is the USB Type-C 2.0 one with OTG support. Besides working well it also has a standard connector depth, unlike other rugged smartphones we have reviewed. Ulefone Armor 2 supports GPS and GLONASS. Our review unit managed to detect a good number of satellites from both systems very quickly and with an excellent accuracy of up to 1-2 meters.
