Ulefone Armor 2 is the third smartphone with the 64-bit MediaTek Helio P25 (MT6757CD) system-on-chip that we review after the Doogee MIX and the Ulefone T1. This chipset is made after the 16nm process by TSMC. It has already been commercially available for half a year and at the moment of this review, 15 smartphones have adopted as the heart of their performance. Helio P25 packs eight Cortex-A53 CPU cores in a big.LITTLE architecture. Four are clocked at 2.6GHz and the other four - at 1.6GHz. A 900MHz dual-core Mali-T880 GPU manages the graphics. Helio P25 is quite similar to Helio P20, the only major difference being the CPU clock rate. This chipset provides classic mid-range performance. This means that you can browse, watch videos, read and play general games without experiencing hiccups. Heavy graphics and GPU demanding apps must be enjoyed at a low-quality level or low resolution. Our review unit has a very similar AnTuTu result 61340 points compared to that of the Ulefone T1 - 61425 points. Both are outperformed in this test by the Doogee MIX which has scored 65019 points. The same applies to the Basemark OS II and the Basemark X tests. However, if you check out the Geekbench 4 results, the Armor 2 outperforms the Doogee MIX, leaving the T1 in the third place. The GFX Bench results are in favour of the Doogee MIX. The 3DMark tests show similar results between the latter and the Armor 2. In this context, there's a marginal advantage for the MIX in the Ice Storm tests and for the Armor 2 in the Sling Shot ones. The PCMark tests are in favour of the MIX, the Armor 2 comes second and the T1 is third again. The browser test of Vellamo show advantage for the MIX and T1, while the Metal and Multicore tests place the MIX first, followed closely by the Armor 2. Ulefone Armor 2 is equipped with 6GB of the fastest type of RAM at the moment - LPDDR4X with two channels and 1600MHz clock rate. It also has 64GB of eMMC type of internal memory, which can be expanded with up to 256GB.
