8849 Mars by Unihertz - a handy plug-and-play projector

Add DeviceSpecifications as a preferred source on Google8849 Mars by Unihertz is a very compact, portable projector that's very easy to use. You just plug it into your phone, tablet, laptop, or computer via a Type-C cable, and enjoy your preferred content straight away. It is designed for convenience and versatility. Lightweight and pocket-sized, it is perfect for travel, camping, and impromptu movie nights.
Below you can see a video recording of the projector working. The visible horizontal bands appear because the projector's frame rate is different from the frame rate of our camera. For additional clarity, we also added a photo sample of the projected image.
The 8849 Mars by Unihertz draws power from the device it is plugged into. Hence, that's one reason for it to maintain a compact form factor. The second reason is the clever design of the DLP projector inside the metal housing. It has a native 360p resolution but achieves an HD (720p) resolution by using a vibrating mirror system. This technology projects four slightly shifted images per frame, which are overlaid to interpolate the resolution to 720p. The same technology is used by the projectors built in the two latest Unihertz 8849 smartphones - the Tank 4 Pro and the Tank 4.
Moreover, the peak luminance of the projector is 100 lumens. Without power, it is limited to 20 lumens. The smaller the projected image, the brighter it is. The model supports sizes from 40" when projected from a meter distance to 100" when projected from a 3-meter distance. The focus range is from 0.5 m to 3 m. The projected image is automatically adjusted, including features such as autofocus, auto keystone correction, and auto screen alignment.
The 8849 Mars by Unihertz features an advanced cooling technology to prevent overheating during prolonged use. The front of the device houses the projector's lens and the cooling inlet. The cooling outlet is on the left side. The right side is the home of the power inlet and the USB Type-C port. The bottom features a magnetic metal ring and a function button. The top of the device contains a third air inlet.
